A Little of This and That

Here are 2 birds that grace us with their presence daily. I know the black one is a Grackle but the other is from the White Throated Magpie Jay.

Don't know what its called, but sure do sing purdy

All fluffed up & no place to go

Remember back to an earlier blog, the beach photo’s with no one there? Well, the buses are starting to arrive and the beach is getting full & crazy & the pizza ovens are busy.

The banana boat…now you see them, now you don’t!

2 lovely ladies each with their own rum & coconut drink..this was their 2nd one each..they were having a great time!

I’ve always wondered how to plant the umbrella in the sand when it doesn’t have an auger at the end of it or a shovel handy. Here, they take the umbrella apart and with the hollow end, drill that into the sand filling it up, bring it up, knock the sand out, repeat until you have a deep enough hole to plant the umbrella. Of course!

We went to Santa Maria today. It is the bedroom community for the workers in La Cruececita & Santa Cruz & all the fancy schmancy resorts around here. A real Mexican community.

Main square, Santa Maria
Wine bottle tree, Santa Cruz

Spray-painted trees, Soriana
Best chicken ever, Santa Maria

The ever changing musician while dinning out. Some are good, some not so good. He was actually quite talented for the shape he was in.

This dummy had a note attached but neither one of us understood what it said, but we think it was something about booze & guns don't mix.
Just one of the many beautiful flowers off the trees that are just starting to bloom...after all, this is spring
This intersection is the entrance way to our little town of Santa Cruz. Notice the nice wide streets and sidewalks. Very clean & picturesque
Hard working boys, sweeping the streets by hand. Once a week in the middle of the night, some guy goes down the main street with a gas powered leaf blower
This hotel, is the one we use the pool, and take Salsa dance lessons. Looks better in real life and that Canadian flag..well, I think we have now met the other half of the snowbirds. There are some Americans but mostly Canadians

Steve & our Salsa teacher..from Cuba

Kiki & Mohamed..the only dance Mohamed doesn't know how to do

I would just like to add that there were quite a few more photo's that were added but the program, blogger, also takes them away into 'never to be seen again land'. This is not an easy site to work with so just bear with us.
